In this article we report the case of a sixteen-year-old male diagnosed with attention deficit disorder of childhood. At puberty, he showed a clinical set of psychotic characteristics which improved significantly with threatment based on neuloleptics and anticonvulsivants. Through this case a review of nosology is made and the posibility, already present in the literature, of understanding the psychosis in an hyperkinetic disorder as an independent entity, is presented.
